(Thanks to my subscribers for checking in. I've had the flu and am on Rx codeine holiday.)
All afternoon I have been looking
for a poem that could hold
the coming stars of evening.
Now,
at twilight,
I sense the presence of dreams,
constellations of love
just beginning to rise.
Around the corner
in the next room,
I realize
that you are sleeping,
and already
I wish to kiss
the possibility of moons
on your horizon.

Good to see you back. Hope you feel better real soon.
Wayne, thank you, my friend!
Seamus, yes, I seem to have stars on the brain. Must be the cough meds LOL.
Shesa, you're a dear! Thank you!
I liked the last stanza the most :) a very lovely and masculine approach ;)
Charming.
I suspect the lady in question was pleased.
Thanks, Bernita. Was a simple poem that seemed to work. I think it pleased my audience :)
Beautiful! The expectation was palpable.
That's the Andromeda gallaxy, correct?
Thank you, Jason, and yep--that's Andromeda!
Thank you, Szelsofa. The general consensus on this poem was that the ending was strong. Every now and then, the Muse smiles kindly upon me LOL
Okay, Billy. We want a new post! :-)
Okay, Shesa -:) I will endeavor to please.
Just lovely. A woman sighs (and swoons). :)
